Facts in intramural article don’t hold meaning

I am writing in regards to the Intramurals article written in the Wednesday, February 5th edition on the SAINT. There are many facts stated in the article that are either incorrect or don’t hold very much meaning. For starters, if you look at all other major colleges, their intramural programs are run by students as well. Here at Aquinas we do have a faculty intramurals director, unlike stated in the article, his name is Dave Hammer.

In the beginning of the season there is a captains meeting where all the rules are given to the captains of every team, as well as a schedule. It is not the job of the intramurals staff to make sure every player has a schedule or knows the rules, it is clearly stated at the meeting that the
captains are responsible for this. Every day of the week there are Quad classes so it is hard to find a perfect day to hold games, Wednesdays seem to work the best for everyone, and if you have class then you just can’t play. I feel that this article was poorly written and was not written with the consideration of the Intramurals staffs feelings and is very disrespectful. The intramurals staff works hard to accompany as many students as they can, they can’t please everyone.
