Bitter Hillary supporters going for McCain? Let ‘em.
Forget Hillary Clinton’s completely false claim of sniper fire in Bosnia, turns out it’s the New York senator’s most bitter supporters that will take home top honors for most delusional behavior this campaign season. Even John McCain’s assertion that we ought to deploy missile defense systems to a nonexistent Czechoslovakia seems reasonable compared to these pathetic whiners.
Commenting on the formation of the National Organization of Hillary Clinton Supporters for John McCain (no, it’s not a typo), 63-year old Ed Hale said that “we’re going to run campaign ads to defeat Obama.” Hale, a rancher in Wellington, Texas maintains he opposes Obama mostly due his positions on foreign policy and defense.
It couldn’t possibly be that Hale, a self-described “redneck” could just be a sore loser, could it?
With all due respect to Mr. Hale, who is certainly entitled to his own opinions, what is so pathetic about these people is 1) Clinton’s foreign policy is, for all intents and purposes, nearly identical to that of Obama; 2) Clinton herself campaigned AGAINST McCain for a reason, namely that he’s an insensible hawk; and 3) I’d like to take this opportunity to point out once again that Hillary Clinton lied, plain and simple, about being under enemy sniper fire in Bosnia. Then she lied about lying about it. Then she said “we all make mistakes” (shrug).
How could a group of people opposed to Obama largely on the basis of foreign policy and defense be comfortable voting for someone who would make a 100% fictitious statement about finding herself under enemy sniper fire? How exactly does that honor our brave troops abroad?
Ed Hale and any other embittered Hillary Clinton supporters who aren’t able to let go are certainly entitled to vote for McCain. It’s stupid - most people know that, and those that do it will look intellectually weak and emotionally fragile. It’s more than tempting to laugh, but it’s truly sad what these single-issue voters and sore losers alike will do to exact even the smallest, spiteful revenge.
In politics, a vote is a vote is a vote. I realize that every one counts, and both sides will ultimately take what they can get. That’s how elections work. But this kind of pettiness is exactly what the Democratic Party doesn’t need going forward, and as such, I’m perfectly content to let them pack their bags.

I think you people must be losing lots of sleep now since it quite plaini that we are scaring the hell out of you. 1.5 million hit on that 1990 web site in 10 days, someone must listening. Have a great day and good luck on winning in Nov, cause your guy does not have a snowballs chance in hell bye ya’ll
I second the motion ED, I am an independant voter, will not be voting for Obama , never in this lifetime. My country comes first and John McCain knows how important that is to real Americans. Your candidate is so far to the left, he should be on the boat back to Africa. Please tell your little paid trolls to stay off of the blogs where educated people are trying to chat about things we care about that are way over their heads, like honesty, experience, integrity, honor, thier use of foul language and threats to me and my friends is boring. If this practice continues I will contact the FCC and let them have a look at the vile posts your suppoters are making. Also any use of my email address will be reported as spam.
Haha, I completely agree. I’ve been perusing that site for the past couple days since it was featured on Wired.com. If there were any indication that the human race is devolving with each passing day, that site is the best evidence. The site owner and the comments made on the site are surreal. It is hard to believe that they all actually believe what they’re saying. Some of the fantasies they dream up in their own imaginary worlds (”Obama is a black militant muslim out to enslave America and I won’t let him get away with it” etc.) lead me to believe that some of these people must’ve skipped their hourly anti-psychotic schizophrenia medication.
The only other explanation is that they have become deliriously deluded due to the unfathomable ignorance they must possess. I seriously can’t imagine how someone could truly believe the things they are saying. I have stared at monitor in disbelief at some of the things that are being said. Although it is not limited to that site, I have read similar mass delusion at hillaryclinton.com (blog comments), at abcnews.com, michellemalkin.com, aol.com, and anywhere else large groups of morons congregate.
Have to admit that all this tends to be quite depressing. Makes me wonder whether America has produced such an ignorant voting public that another Bush will be re-elected again and again until our nation collapses onto itself. It’s already begun..
First of all, on Bosnia, on the televised debate, she admitted her mistake and apologized for it. Obama has never done that. When he’s criticized he says that “it’s old politics we need to get away from.”
Obama never had the respect of many of Clinton’s supporters. We saw through his hypocracy. We saw the free ride he got from the media. We saw how liberal he was. We saw how party elders thought it’d be more exciting to tell the story of a black than of a woman. We’re not stupid - we saw it all.
Frankly, the qualities we found most inviting about Ms. Clinton are the qualities that she shares with John McCain: experience, leadership, a clear plan.
The minute Obama tried to make experience look like a bad quality for president was the minute I knew I could never vote for him. What kind of message does that send?
McCain ‘08
Clinton ‘12 (Maybe the Democratic Party will get it right next time)
Fools.
The continuous bashing of Hillary Clinton and her supporters by you Obamabots is just one more reason that we are not going to “come around” in November as the pundits are predicting. So much for unity.
So the die is cast. And then there were two. Now that the Democrats have “finally” decided on a candidate the real work can begin. This is probably the most boring election we have had in years, at least that I remember.
But the lines could not be any more clearly drawn and the differences any more acute. On the one hand we have a Vietnam veteran who is more a moderate than a conservative. On the other we have a virtual unknown Illinois senator who is about as liberal as they come.
If John McCain is elected, we will have a seasoned politician who will be strong on defense, strong against terrorism abroad, may be weak on immigration, may be weak on appointing constructionist justices to the bench and possible weak on conservative social issues.
If Barak Obama is elected, we will see the economy spiral toward full-fledged recession. I know that because he has promised to raise taxes. Historically that has never worked in growing the economy. Carter tried it and it was a failure. Everyone doubted Reagan when he said he would turn it around by lowering taxes and by gum it worked. Obama will also be weak on defense and terrorism. He has said he will sit down with talks with Hamas and Iran. That will only embolden the enemy and their allies.
Historically, English Prime Minister Chamberlain met with Adolf Hitler prior to World War II offer to settle issues thru discussion. It only emboldened Hitler and 50 million people died in that 6 year war.
One of these two men will be the next President of the United States. One we can live with and the other will be the worst thing in modern American history. I can live with and not love John McCain. I will and millions of other Americans will watch our great country spiral out of control if Obama becomes President.
If we need experience in this time, only McCain has it. Obama is the candidate of change, but is not experienced nor tested. We cannot afford ineptness.
Way to go Ed!! Well put. MCCain 08
I am one of those people that you call “Bitter Hillary Supporter’s For John McCain”. I’m voting for McCain for the reasons stated below and for no other reason. He is not so far off the issues that he won’t do everything he can to give the American people the best possible on the issues facing us. Here are my reasons for NO OBAMA! You want to knock Ed Hale for starting our site, you go ahead, but I can tell you that he is a better man than you, Obama or any of his other supporter’s. He loves America and was a faithful Democrat as was I for over 51 years. Maybe you should stop vetting the supporter’s of Clinton and start vetting the Democratic nominee. Oh wait, you can’t do that, because the DNC, NBC, MSNBC, CNN, you and all of Obama’s supporter’s would have a cow if the truth about him and his wife was revealed and it turned the American people off and he lost the election. Well that’s ok, you don’t have to do it, Ed Hale and I will do your work for you and some how let the American people know what a cess pool the DNC has become by stealing an election for an unqualified and dishonest candidate that they chose to be the nominee.
Obama is a liar, a bigot, and a racists. He wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped him in the face. He doesn’t like to be questioned about any of his friendships/associations or anything else for that matter. He acts like he is insulted if any one questions him about anything. He plays the double standard, he wants everyone to show their records, but he won’t show his. He’s 46 years old and his Medical records are only one page, give me a break! He question’s John McCain’s eligibility to be President, but won’t produce his own Birth Certificate! What’s he trying to hide?? You don’t hang out with people for 20 years that hate America and not share their views. Give me a break, does he think all the people are stupid or that we are all so enthralled with him that we will believe his lame explanations or excuses? He has never really answered the questions that were put to him, he dances around them and he is no Fred Astair that’s for sure. His judgement leaves a lot to be desired and is definitely questionable, since all of his close relationships and Spiritual Advisors/Mentor’s are all either people that hate America or crooks. I have not seen or heard of any normal, decent people that are close associates of his or his angry, big mouth, America hating, racists wife. In my heart he will put America in worse shape than it is in now and his wife if she became the First Lady, would be a total embarrassment to all of the First Ladies before her and after her.
So with one of the only two candiates out that was fit and able to be President, that only leaves one and that is John McCain, for Obama is not fit and definitely not able. We don’t have time for another “President in training”. No Clinton in 2008, then it is definitely McCain in 2008 for me!
Dan Treul, When your glassy eyes cloud over, you may ask yourself, what happened? Maybe Obama’s plan for America wasn’t what you thought..maybe his lies were insurmountable.
I don’t want the DNC to vote for me, I want a candidate who in my eye’s is not questionable. I feel as many, that we have yet to see the true Obama! So I say to you and all that feel as you:
You really don’t get it! We have the right to choose as you do. If we are unhappy with the DNC it’s our choice to feel that way. If its the media that’s driving us to change, again its our choice! Nobody will take away my choice. I have watched and listened to a party that thinks they know what is good for me. I picked Clinton first and McCain second, Obama was never in the picture with everything I have learned. Again this is my choice. You can call me names, say I don’t care what happens, that I’m not a true democrat, the list is endless, again that is your choice. Now I simply say to you…You make your choice.. I’ll make mine! GOD BLESS AMERICA!
Every time I hear of MSNBC, NBC and CNN giving lip service to Obama, I know more and more folks like me are joining forces to support McCain. It is such sweet music, and cannot be stopped. The will of the people will be evident come November! MCCAIN ‘08.
I may not agree with what you say but I will fight to the death for YOUR right to say it. Never before in the history of the Presidency has a canidate had such ties to Arabic ideology. What you all dont realize is we are saving this country not only for us and our children but for You also. We understand that you have been brainwashed and dont realize what you are actually doing trying to be “progressive” and elect a man that is NOT African American but ARABIC American. We do pray for you daily and that you will do some research on your own instead of taking the Press at its liberal word. You WILL find that he and Hillary are not the same on issues and she and John McCain are.
hmmmmmm Im a latino in california and I agree with Ed . Maybe there is truth to what all of these unhappy voters feel just like me and its more then being a sore loser. the guy who wrote this article must not be as good as he believes he is if he has not gone out and spoking to those of us who will vote Mccain due to the in-perfect organization called the DNC. We are the people and the Media continues to tell us the people how we should vote ! who gives you the right ? This is America not Russia but as I have seen it play out maybe it is Russia I love America do you against.com ? Latinos for McCain
gosh i guess im a typical white woman holding to my faith and guns. Funny thing is I don’t even own a gun, but I own an opinion, and here it is Obama is simply not qualified to be president. I don’t care what race he is, look at his time in office not very long hmmmmm. Do you want him in charge if one of those tiny little countries attack us or one of our allies? I sure don’t. Obama cannot make good decisions while picking a vp council now thats scary. Yes I am a hillery supporter, but I’m not stupid .we need someone with foreign policy experience , I don’t care how old he is with age comes experience.
I notice that Ed refused to respond to the point raised in the article that Obama and Clinton are nearly identical on foreign policy. Hillary and McCain are on diametrically opposite sides of the spectrum on just about every issue. And this talk of McCain baing a “moderate” is garbage - aside from a few isolated cases he’s been a consistent vote for the agenda of George Bush and the hard right. He opposes a woman’s right to have an abortion, he supports privatizing health care and George Bush’s tax breaks for the wealthy, he voted for the bankruptcy bill, and he wants to keep troops in Iraq for a hundred years.
Let’s be perfectly clear: the only reason that self-described redneck Ed Hale is voting for McCain is because McCain is white, Obama is black, and Hale is a racist. No rational reason exists for a person who voted for Hillary Clinton and who ostensibly supports her policy proposals to turn around and vote for a right-wing Republican. The “experience” argument is hogwash, because all of McCain’s experience didn’t provide him with the judgment to oppose George Bush’s adventure in Iraq, and it certainly hasn’t prevented him from continuing to support the war even after it’s been exposed that the war was based on lies and cooked intelligence, and despite the fact that the war has been an utter failure.
