Provost Chad Gunnoe has announced Dr. Patricia Chase will become the next Dean of Students for Aquinas College. Chase, warmly received by both students and staff during her visit to campus, currently serves as Director of the Counseling and Wellness Center at Alma College.

Gunnoe announced the pick in an announcement (below) posted on the Moose shortly after 2pm on Tuesday, October 7th.

It is with tremendous enthusiasm that I announce to the Aquinas Community that Dr. Patricia Chase has accepted our offer to become the next Dean of Students at Aquinas. Dr. Chase holds degrees from the University of Michigan, EMU, and CMU. Most recently she has served as the Director of the Counseling & Wellness Center at Alma College. During the interview process Dr. Chase garnered enthusiastic support from students, faculty, student development staff, and senior administrators alike. In short, we believe that Trish will be a wonderful addition to the Aquinas team.
Please join me in extending thanks to the search committee members Jennifer Dawson, Shellie Jeffries, Rachel Koval, Dave Weinandy, and Steve Wolf who did excellent work from the heat of the summer to the chill of autumn on this project. Thanks as well are due our current Dean, Brad Winkler, who graciously agreed to continue in his duties into the fall semester.
