AQ RADD presents Club Night

This Friday, November 7th, is Aquinas College’s annual Club night, a completely free event where having fun in college is actually encouraged. Going from 10:00 PM until 1:00 AM at East Hills Athletic Club, this year’s festivities promises to be an awesome get together for everyone to enjoy.According to Randy MacGeorge, the director of Residence life at Aquinas, this event came about “…in 2003 when the school was given a grant to promote non-alcoholic activates for college students”. The result; an event for students to play games, enjoy food and entertainment, and even get entered into drawings for fabulous prizes, all at absolutely no cost to students. Over the years, several Aquinas clubs have pitched in to help fund and operate the night’s activities, appropriately giving it the name “Club Night”.

This year, activities for this exiting event include tennis, swimming, inflatable activities, volleyball, simple games like cards, along with music and entertainment. Delicious snacks and beverages will be served, completely complementary, fitting with the non-alcohol theme of the night. In addition, students can enter into several drawings to win marvelous prizes all night, such as sports gear, Celebration Cinema gift cards, and even a brand new bicycle! For students who wish to show off their physical endurance, there’s also a 15 minute cardio activity available for students to win a new Aquinas stopwatch.

Students wishing to attend this Saturday can take the shuttle buses leaving from the Moose Cafe, beginning at 9:40 PM and going all night long. Since this event is meant to promote non-alcoholic activities, pre-partying and drinking are strongly discouraged for students attending, since this would only defeat the purpose and take away from the fun of the night.

Everyone is encouraged to come for the night, offering a chance for students to relieve some stress and have a great time with friends for the evening. With free activates, food, and prizes all night, Club night is sure to be nothing short of an awesome event.
