A.C.E. serves CE students

One of the newest Senate-recognized organizations on campus, A.C.E. seeks to support and connect continuing education students at Aquinas, offering special events, speakers and social opportunities designed to make life easier for non-traditional aged students.

Elephant in the room: A review of campus political presence during the election

College students have regained their voice during this election. They have given their vote to choose the country’s future. In this recent election, 23 million voters from the age of 18-30 cast their ballots, which is a 3.4 million increase since the election in 2004.

Student Senate plans events

Updates on these issues and others will be addressed at the next Senate meeting, which will take place on Wednesday, Nov. 19 at 3 p.m. in the Wege Ballroom. All students and faculty are welcome and encouraged to attend. At this meeting special guests, Provost Chad Gunnoe and newly appointed Dean of Students Dr. Patricia Chase will be speaking.

“Is it ADHD or…?”: Aquinas hosts presentation on ADHD, ADD

A good turnout is expected for the presentation, which will take place on Nov. 19 in the Louitit Room from 2 to 4 p.m. Currently, along with Aquinas students, twenty-two other guests from the local educational field, such as high school counselors and teachers, plan to attend this very educational and useful seminar.

Opting into the future

The College’s question of identity sitting ominously in the distance is what will happen with Aquinas College if the Marywood Dominicans cease to provide a religious presence to the campus? Can the Dominican tradition be preserved without Dominicans? And if so, how?

AQ/UDM student works with Dining Services for better health

Soon a number of hand sanitizing stations will be installed at Wege Cafeteria. Aquinas College nursing student Chris Olsen mentioned the idea to Creative Dining Services, and with little hassle the stations were purchased currently wait for installation.
