G8 leaders discuss food crisis over 18 course meal
President Bush and other leaders from the world’s eight most powerful countries yesterday met in Japan to discuss ways in which to address the global food crisis.
Then, they and their spouses enjoyed an 18 course meal.
Detroit mayor an absolute disgrace
I don’t live in Detroit, and I can’t speak for its people. But I will say that in the few years I’ve been alive I’ve seen the people of Detroit rally and do some amazing things despite overwhelming circumstances. Now is just the time for the people of Detroit - and the people of Michigan, really - to stand up, rally, and let their voices be heard.
Grand Rapids Art Museum takes the LEED
First in our series of downtown hotspots is the brand-new Grand Rapids Art Museum (GRAM), which has already drawn international acclaim for its breathtaking architectural design and commitment to energy efficiency. Although the brilliant Andy Warhol exhibit is gone, the GRAM offers something for everyone - from classical to contemporary (and even live music on Friday nights). This is without a doubt THE place to be in Grand Rapids.
