Life before Facebook: living without LOL(0)
Ever so often, as I stare bleary-eyed at the blinking cursor upon a blank Word document, I find myself lamenting the very foundation upon my post-modern existence is constructed:
I am haunted by the memory of writing in cursive.
Read my lips: get a new slogan.
Candidates, please, I beg you to come up with real campaign slogans. Stop bad-mouthing each other in advertisements and spend that time and money brainstorming.
Let Wall Street crash. Yeah, I said it.
What this country needs is a good depression. The longer the better. For the past week, the entire nation or, “Main Street,” as our illustrious leaders call it, has watched helplessly as the market has tanked and the government politicizes a response of unprecedented scale.
Detroit mayor an absolute disgrace
I don’t live in Detroit, and I can’t speak for its people. But I will say that in the few years I’ve been alive I’ve seen the people of Detroit rally and do some amazing things despite overwhelming circumstances. Now is just the time for the people of Detroit - and the people of Michigan, really - to stand up, rally, and let their voices be heard.
