With less than two months to go, the presidential election of 2008 has already established itself as a race of historic proportions for both the Democratic and Republican parties.

It’s official. Barack Obama has announced his selection of Joseph Biden as his running mate. The chairman of the Senate Committee on Foreign Relations and a practicing Catholic, Sen. Biden is expected to reinvigorate Obama’s foreign policy credentials against an increasingly aggressive McCain campaign, and force McCain to reevaluate his strategy on working-class swing voters.
