Detroit mayor an absolute disgrace
I don’t live in Detroit, and I can’t speak for its people. But I will say that in the few years I’ve been alive I’ve seen the people of Detroit rally and do some amazing things despite overwhelming circumstances. Now is just the time for the people of Detroit - and the people of Michigan, really - to stand up, rally, and let their voices be heard.
Detroit City Council considers resolution to remove Kilpatrick
The Detroit City Council has taken its strongest step yet in its ongoing crisis of city government, placing consideration of a resolution to remove embattled Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick upon the formal agenda for Tuesday afternoon. The council additionally voted to consider referring the matter to Governor Jennifer Granholm, who is further empowered to remove Kilpatrick.
